April 16, 2025 | The City hosted two (2) Town Hall Meetings to discuss upcoming road improvements on Bunker Hill Rd. and Taylorcrest Rd. At the meetings, City staff, the project engineer, and the contractor shared details about the construction process, project timeline, and proposed traffic control plans.

Beginning the week of April 21, the City’s contractor, Hayden Pavement, will begin mobilizing on Bunker Hill Rd. installing traffic control devices ahead of construction work.  Construction will begin on the southbound lane the week of April 28.  Travel will be restricted to northbound travel only between Memorial and Taylorcrest while the southbound lane work is completed. Drivers are urged to plan their route accordingly and follow recommended detour signage during construction. Construction on Taylorcrest Rd. is tentatively scheduled to start in June after the school year.

Please note that the construction process will be disruptive to area residents in and around the construction zone. Project staff will make every effort to mitigate disruptions as much as possible.

This meeting is also an opportunity for residents and the general public to ask questions directly to City staff, the project engineer, and the contractor about this work.

  • Monday, April 14, 2025 | 9:00 a.m. 
Residents are strongly encouraged to attend to learn information on what to expect from this project. Please note that the construction process will be disruptive to area residents in/ around the construction zone. Project staff will make every effort to mitigate disruptions as much as possible.
