The Village Fire Department Commission has appointed Howard Miller as Fire Chief for the Village Fire Department (VFD).
Chief Miller began his career with VFD as a Firefighter in 1980. Over the years, he has served as a Driver Operator, Paramedic, Lieutenant, Captain, and Deputy Chief. Most recently, Chief Miller has been VFD’s Interim Fire Chief since February 2023. He has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management Administration and holds several Fire and EMS Certifications. Chief Miller is a licensed paramedic and has served in the capacity of the Memorial Village’s Emergency Management Coordinator since 2009.
Public safety is a top priority for the Memorial Villages. The VFD Commissioners have confidence that Chief Miller will continue to meet the needs of residents and businesses by providing excellent fire and EMS services in the Villages.
