December 20, 2024 -- The northbound lane of Bunker Hill Rd. will remain closed between Valley Forge Dr. and Jack Ln. & Greyton Ln. as the sewer line is replaced during the week of December 23. All traffic will continue to be reduced to the southbound lane. There will be no work on Christmas Eve (12/24) or Christmas Day (12/25). The project is currently 25% complete.
Construction crew flaggers and traffic control devices will be in place to direct vehicles through the area safely. Drivers should expect delays and plan their travel routes accordingly. Through traffic is advised to use Knipp Rd., Strey Ln., and Blalock as alternate routes during this construction. October 7, 2024 -- Beginning the week of October 21, the City's contractor, Ramrod Utilities, will mobilize and begin to replace the sanitary sewer line on Bunker Hill Rd (between Taylorcrest and Memorial) and the 11700 block of Greenbay Dr.
All work will take place Monday-Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., weather permitting, and is expected to be completed within 75 days from the start of construction. Weekend work may be scheduled with/ without notice to expedite the project. (Please note that the City is exempt from quiet hours during weekends). This work will be underground and/or within the City’s Right of Way (ROW). It is unlikely that crews will need to access private property unless necessary with proper advance notice.
For the safety of motorists and construction crews, there will be partial daily lane closures along Bunker Hill Rd. and Greenbay Dr. during construction. Drivers should plan their travel routes accordingly and expect delays. Residents should exercise caution around the construction site and abide by all traffic laws. Crews will ensure emergency services have an accessible route at all times during construction.
