November 1, 2024 -- Underground utility work to replace the sanitary sewer line under these roads continues to advance steadily. Beginning the week of Monday, November 4, Bunker Hill Rd. northbound will be closed between Cobblestone and Williamsburg Ln. as the sewer line is replaced. All traffic will be reduced to the southbound lane. To manage traffic flow, construction crew flaggers and traffic control devices will be in place to direct vehicles through the area safely. Drivers should expect delays and plan their travel routes accordingly. Through traffic is advised to use Knipp Rd., Strey Ln., and Blalock as alternate routes during this construction. City staff will continue to work with the contractor to mitigate disruptions as much as possible.
All work will take place Monday-Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., weather permitting. The project is anticipated to be completed by early January 2025. Weekend work may be scheduled with/ without notice to expedite the project. (Please note that the City is exempt from quiet hours during weekends). This work will be underground and/or within the City’s Right of Way (ROW). It is unlikely that crews will need to access private property unless necessary with proper advance notice.
While this work will not affect sewer services, residents in the construction area are asked to minimize all water and sewer usage during construction. If for some reason you think you have a problem with your sewer service during construction, please contact one of the project representatives listed below. Any areas disturbed due to construction will be restored accordingly.
