Report Streetlight Outages – CenterPoint is responsible for all streetlights in the City’s right of way (ROW). Residents can report streetlight outages directly to CenterPoint by visiting https://gis.centerpointenergy.com/sloreporting/  and entering the 6-digit number located on the pole or the nearest address.

Keep Drain Inlets and Ditches Clear of Debris Do not blow trash, leaves, grass clippings, or limbs into storm sewer inlets or ditches. Keeping these areas clear prevents any drainage issues. Constant violations may lead to increased code enforcement measures by the City. Remember: Only rain in the drain!

Hurricane Season (June 1 – November 30) is a critical time to keep inlets and ditches clear of vegetative debris. During heavy rain and severe weather, this debris can clog ditches and block water flow, leading to drainage issues and localized flooding.

To report any issues with the City’s drainage system, please submit a service request at https://bunkerhilltx.gov/citizens/citizen-requests.

Hurricane Preparedness – As we move closer to the start of another hurricane season (June – November), residents are encouraged to take proactive steps toward hurricane preparedness. For information on how to prepare and stay weather aware, visit www.h-gac.com/hurricane.

Reminder: CenterPoint Energy is responsible for the operation and maintenance of power services, including restoration efforts when an outage occurs. The City does not have the ability or authority to assess the electrical distribution system. To sign up for Power Alerts through CenterPoint, visit https://www.centerpointenergy.com/en-us/residential/services/electric-utility/outage-center/power-alert-service?sa=ho
