Update on Harris County “Stay-Home/Work-Safe” directive in response to the COVID-19 virus for Construction Activities within the City of Bunker Hill Village.
As we work through the impact of the Corona virus on our community, it is important for the contractors in our City to know what the guidelines are.
- No construction or building activities have been prohibited at this time. That is not to say that the Harris County Work Safe guidelines do not apply. It is expected that all work in the construction area will follow the “Safe Work” requirements. You may have to limit the number of trades on your project at one time in order to comply with the required personal spacing.
- Permits are still available as previously required. We do, however, encourage you to apply for and purchase your permits online. If you have never registered to apply for a permit online, please click HERE to begin the process. You may also schedule inspections through this same City portal. We will allow you to post a white paper copy of the permit that we will email to you to eliminate the need for you to come to City Hall to obtain the yellow card permit.
- Inspections are still being performed as requested, however, City Hall and inspection hours may be modified. Please check the website for any changes.
- PREDEVELOPMENT meetings are still required but we encourage you to schedule a conference call or video instead of a City Hall meeting. We primarily need the property owner and the contractor to participate but other consultants are welcome to participate. Please click HERE to schedule your remote meeting with the desired time and method of communication (telephone, facetime, skype, zoom, …)You may view the information presented at the PREDEVELOPMENT MEETINGS by click HERE.
- As this issue has become more prevalent and more residents are home during the day, we are experiencing more complaints from residents concerning building activities. Specifically, the required on-lot parking is not being followed. The City is still enforcing all permit requirements.
- AS A RESULT OF BUILDERS NOT FOLLOWING THE ONLINE PROJECT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES, WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING PROJECTS BY EMAIL. ALL PROJECTS CAN BE DROPPED OFF AT CITY HALL, 11977 MEMORIAL DRIVE, HOUSTON, TEXAS 77024.
-
If you wish to pay a drainage review fee online, please indicate on your email that you need an online payment arrangement.

WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE BUT WE ARE FORCED INTO THIS REQUIREMENT AS A RESULT OF SEVERAL CONTRACTORS WHO HAVE MISCONSTRUED THE CITY’S PIER INSPECTION AS A CONFIRMATION OF CORRECT PIER POSITION.
