Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission is composed of seven (7) members who are appointed by the City Council to serve for two-year terms beginning in July of each odd-year. As an advisory board, the Commission provides recommendations to City Council regarding land use, Specific Use Permits, amendments to the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, and other zoning-related matters. The Commission's recommendations are then forwarded to City Council for final action. 

Meetings

Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment is composed of five (5) regular members and four (4) alternate members who are appointed by the City Council to serve for two-year terms. The Board is established in accordance with Chapter 211 of the Local Government Code as a result of Bunker Hill being a zoned city. The Board is responsible for hearing and deciding appeals from zoning actions of the Building Official, reviewing requests for variances or special exceptions, and interpreting the City's Zoning Ordinance. The Board meets as needed.

Police Commission

Bunker Hill Village is one of three (3) Cities served by the Memorial Villages Police Department (MVPD). Each City appoints two (2) Commissioners and one (1) Alternate Commissioner to the Board of Police Commissioners that governs the Department. Fire Commission

Bunker Hill Village is one of six (6) Cities served by the Village Fire Department (VFD). Each City appoints one (1) Commissioner and one (1) Alternate Commissioner to serve on the Board of Commissioners that governs the Department.
