Happy Friday!   We have a few updates for the week:

 Weather Conditions & Preparation

Bunker Hill, in conjunction with the Memorial Villages Police Department and Village Fire Department as the Villages’ Emergency Management Coordinator, is closely monitoring the weather conditions.  We have checked inlets on all of the major streets and have checked all of our water systems.  Everything is going well.

We are currently seeing three isolated areas (~ 25 residents) in Bunker Hill currently without electricity.  At this time, all show restoration by Saturday, May 11 at 9:30 a.m.  The CenterPoint Outage Tracker is a great tool!  Click here to view.

Please take the time to sign up for CenterPoint notifications – you will need your electricity bill regardless of your provider.  Click here and follow the instructions.

More preparedness tips and helpful information is on our website under Latest News.

Please join us in continuing to prepare for more rain:

  • Check inlets and clean debris
  • Keep watching the local news
  • Watch for v-linc updates from the Memorial Villages Police Dept.

Once again for City emergencies after business hours, please contact City Hall at 713-467- 9762 and choose “9” to be directed to the Memorial Villages Police Department Dispatch.  They will contact us.

City Council Meeting

The City Council will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall.  Please click here to view the agenda.

 Roadway Improvements Update

We are very pleased to have completed the asphalt work on Bunker Hill Road, Forest Glen and Cobblestone this week.  Finishing touches will follow.  We will then be doing some point repairs throughout the City and completing Balmoral.  We always appreciate your understanding and patience during these projects!

Have a nice weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Bunker Hill Moms!
Thank you and stay safe,

Karen Glynn, City Administrator
